Wellness Tip: No Matter Our Circumstance, We Will Always Come FULL CIRCLE.
Today is a very significant day in my life. Today, August 31, eight years ago, I made the giant leap of moving from California to Florida. Eight years ago, I flew into Orlando for a conference and today, eight years later, I will be back in Orlando! This wasn’t even planned. I didn’t even realize it, until just a few days ago, that I would physically be in the very same place I was eight years ago! Kind of crazy right? Well, I was emotionally in a very rough place in my life when I moved here, and now God has restored me to a very healthy and wonderful place.
There are two things I want to take notice of here. First, the number eight means “new beginnings.” I believe that I am at the start of a new beginning and so are you. September is the beginning of the Jewish New Year. It’s a new beginning. Second, no matter where we are in life, I am a firm believer that God will bring us FULL CIRCLE. He brings us back to familiar places, however, He does so much work on the inside of us that sometimes we don’t recognize the person we used to be when we get there.
In the Old Testament, Moses grew up in Egypt at Pharaoh’s house. Moses fled Egypt and spent forty years on the back side of the desert. During those forty years, God was prepping and purging Moses to become a great leader. After preparation, God brought Moses back to Egypt to free the people of Israel. FULL CIRCLE.
Joseph was sold as a slave by his brothers. He spent seventeen years as a slave bouncing from Potiphar’s house, to prison, and finally to second in command over all the land. While there was a famine in the land, Joseph’s brothers and the rest of his family traveled to Egypt. God brought Joseph back together with his family after many years of separation. FULL CIRCLE.
As God has brought me FULL CIRCLE and has purged me, strengthened me, and healed me in more places than I can remember, He will do the same for you! He wants to bring you FULL CIRCLE. He wants to heal every place that you hurt. He wants to lift you up and bring you to a higher place than you are now. Do you have wounds from previous relationships? He will bring you to different relationships, that may seem familiar, but YOU will be different. You will be healed and whole, and no longer suffering from the pain. For example, when we get a cut in our skin, after it heals, it often leaves a scar. The scar is there as a ‘reminder’ of the pain that once was, but it is no longer painful to touch. So it will be in your life. Place your trust in God and He will heal every place that you hurt and bring you FULL CIRCLE.
